ddHiFi CZ300 Large Capacity Case Review – Mr Big

The ddHiFi CZ300 Case is ddHiFi’s largest and most rugged storage case yet, with adjustable dividers that leave your imagination with (almost) infinite layout possibilities.

The ddHiFi CZ300was provided by the company upon my request – and I thank them for that. You can get it for $57 from ddHiFi.

Introduction

ddHiFi are a Chinese company that are treasured for their high-quality adapters, cables, earphones, dongles, and other accessories – which you find collectively to our Wall of Excellence. But they have also issued a series of very useful storage devices, which I have all reviewed: their shoulder bags (C2022, C2023), their C2020 accessories case, and their C100 earphones case. The CZ300 follows the footsteps of the C2020, it is just bigger and a bit easier to use (as it features fewer compartments).

Physical Features

Yes, it is big. It has the form factor of a children’s toy suitcase. The outer material is cotton canvas, reminiscent of denim (with white shining through the grey). It has a washed out, rugged appearance, like our jeans. Rugged enough that I dared to vacuum cat hair off.

The zipper is metal and appears sturdy. As opposed to earlier models, this one has only one zippered lid. But once you opened it, you access the main department through another zipper (inner) lid, made of thick felt-lie material to prevent the content from scratching.

The upper lid of the case holds a set of mesh pockets for small items.

The main chamber comes with 8 movable dividers for sizing the individual compartments that hold your gear. It is well padded towards outside shock.

Stitching is very good.

Concluding Remarks

Another year, another fancy ddHiFi storage case. The CZ300 is their biggest model yet. It relies entirely on a handle and leaves the shoulder strap of previous models off. No plastic hinges, no leather, everything is textile and metal. Rugged quality for the road.

Take it or leave it!

Until next time…keep on listening!
